CHICO — On a quiet, chilly morning, a parade of people toured across lower Bidwell Park as they recognized what they were grateful for in their lives. On Saturday, the Gratitude Walk took off, welcoming about 60 people.

First Annual Gratitude Walk in Bidwell Park
CHICO, Calif. – About 70 people took part in today’s First Annual Gratitude Walk. which started at One Mile in Bidwell Park. The event was planned by Crystal Lively, who wants people to focus on the good things in life.

CHICO — Ever feel like taking a walk just for the gratitude of it?
That’s one of the ideas behind the Gratitude Walk, a fundraising event that will take place in Bidwell Park on Nov. 5.
The event is the brainchild of Chico resident Crystal Lively, who wanted to do something to “connect the community” while also raising funds for a good cause.
“This has been on my heart for several years and it seemed as this was the time to make it happen and bring it out into our community,” Lively said. “The goal is to bring gratitude to the hearts and minds of each of us individually and together collectively.”
